Background of Stree 2 film
Stree 2 is the second part of Stree which was released on 31 August 2018. In the film Stree, we were shown the story of a prostitute. In that film, we were told that a witch comes every year and takes away the men of the village. To avoid Stree, people write ‘ ओ स्त्री, कल आना’ outside their houses. To end the terror of that witch, Vicky along with an anonymous girl confronts Stree and frees him from the life of this witch.
The story is further told in Stree 2. According to the film, it is written in Chanderi Purana that after Stree’s liberation, Sarkata will appear. Sarkata is a vampire who kidnaps the women of the village. We saw in first part of Stree that after Stree left, people used to write ‘ ओ स्त्री, रक्षा करना’ outside their houses, but in Stree 2, when women started getting kidnapped, people stopped writing it.
